These builds of XLua and its MMFI contain various fixes that can be found at https://github.com/looki/xlua.

Major changes:
* Upgrading LuaJIT to 2.0.5 from 1.1.5 - this should come with considerable performance improvements
(especially if you use the "Enable LuaJIT" action) although it's of course no panacea.
Besides performance, it also offers some other features, some of which are ported from Lua 5.2.
A list can be found here: https://luajit.org/extensions.html
* Compatibility with all runtimes (as far as I know) from MMF 2.0 to CF 2.5+.
* Unicode support - all Unicode strings from MMF are converted to UTF-8 for Lua.
UTF-8-aware string manipulation can be done using third-part Lua modules which are readily available online.
* Fixed crashes in the MMFI when switching frames or restarting the application.
* More robust detection of invalid objects in the MMFI, and MMF.newObject() returns nil for invalid fixed values.

Actions/Conditions/Expressions:
* Enable 'ffi' - Enables the LuaJIT 2 FFI module for interop with C APIs. It is loaded by default unless
the "Load Standard Libs" property is disabled in the extension.

Other MMFI changes:
* A new boolean "alive" member for objects returned by MMF.newObject(). In the case that you're holding a reference
to an already destroyed object, this member will return false for it, unlike all other members which will be nil
and thus will throw an error if you try to use them.
* Trying to access any field such as "x" on an invalid object will now throw a descriptive error instead of a generic nil access one.

Editor changes:
* The editor window no longer crashes when using the Windows "X" to close it, and it will auto-generate a script name when adding an empty one.
* 'Single quote strings' and [[Multiline strings]] are now highlighted in the editor window.

Known issues:
* Modifying the number of alterable strings an object has via MMFI can lead to crashes in CF 2.5+ (due to its infinite alterable string feature.)

The updated MMFI is provided in \Examples\XLua\Ext, just like in the original extension.
